Terms of Service1- What is RentEthnicTrend
1.1. Who we are We are RentEthnicTrend Inc. (“RentEthnicTrend,” “RET,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a company registered in California, USA.
1.2. What we do RentEthnicTrend operates a peer-to-peer marketplace (the “Marketplace”) that allows third-party lenders (“Lenders”) to list and rent out their apparel to third-party renters (“Renters”) using our website www.rentethnictrend.com (“Website”), known as 'Services'
1.3. Our Terms These Terms consist of:

1.4. Acceptance By using the Services, you agree to these Terms in full. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.
1.5. Updates. RET may update these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on the Website, and may also be communicated by email. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
1.6. Eligibility. The Services are intended for individuals at least 18 years old and located in the United States.
1.7. Marketplace role. RET facilitates transactions but is not a party to contracts between Lenders and Renters, except as a payment collection agent via Stripe. We do not monitor item quality or set prices.
2- Account
2.1 Lenders and Renters must create an account with accurate information.
2.2 Users are responsible for safeguarding account credentials.
2.3 RET is not responsible for the quality, authenticity, or legality of items listed.
2.4 Accounts can be deactivated any time from your user profile, after all pending transactions are complete.
3. Use of Services
3.1 RET and its licensors own all rights to the Website, App, and Services (excluding user-generated content).
3.2 Users may not copy, scrape, reverse engineer, or misuse the Services.
3.3 By uploading content, you grant RET a license to use it for providing the Services.
3.4 RET may remove content that violates its policies.
4. Lender Terms
4.1 All items must conform to any descriptions provided by you Any damage to the item should be listed in the listing description and/or pictured in the item images.
4.2 All Outfits must be professionally dry cleaned before Shipping out to the renter.
4.3 RentEthnicTrend is not responsible for any damage to the outfit.
4.4 You agree to pay 25% listing fee to RentEthnicTrend.
4.5 All images must be decent and appropriate for the rental website. Images must be your own and not infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of any person. RentEthnicTrend shall upload the images provided 'as is' and shall not have any responsibility or liability in respect of the images provided.
4.6 For any cancellations made by the Lender within 72 hours of the rental start date, RentEthnicTrend reserves the right to publish a review indicating that the Lender has cancelled a rental or rentals. In addition, RentEthnicTrend reserves the right to "pause" listings due to inactivity or repeated declined or expired rentals
4.7 The Renter is entitled to a full refund from the Lender if the item is sent by return post, unworn, within 24 hours of receiving the item. The Lender will be required to pay the Commission to By Rotation.
a. The item is defective or not as described
b. The item does not arrive by rental start date.
c. The renter cancels the rental 7 days before the rental start date
d. The lender cancels a confirmed lender request.
5. Renter Terms
5.1 Renters gain a limited right to use items during the rental period.
5.2 Items must be returned in the same condition as received
5.3 Late returns may trigger daily late fees plus surcharges, capped at replacement value.
5.4 Theft or attempted theft may result in legal action.
5.5 You will receive provides pre-paid, pre-addressed return packaging and instructions with product delivery.
Renters are solely responsible for returning the package.
Requirements for return:
Attach the correct return label.
Drop off at the listed carrier by 12:00 PM on the return date.
Obtain a drop-off receipt with package details.
5.6 Deposit Policy
A deposit is required at checkout — 50% of your total cart value.
The deposit is charged along with the rental fee.
It is refunded once products are returned on time and in acceptable condition (per the rental duration selected).
Refund Timeline
After the item is returned, please allow 5–10 business days for inspection and deposit processing.
Refunds typically take 2–5 business days to appear on your original payment method, depending on your bank.
Deposit Will Not Be Returned If:
The item is returned late:
Late fees are deducted from your deposit.
If late fees exceed the deposit, you will be invoiced for the remaining balance.
The item is damaged beyond normal wear and tear, including but not limited to:
Red wine or food stains
Irremovable marks
Tears, breakage
The item is lost or stolen.
In These Cases:
Your deposit will not be returned.
You will be invoiced for the product’s retail value, minus the deposit.
7. Fees and Payments
7.1 Rental Fees are collected via Stripe and subject to Stripe’s terms.
7.2 RET charges a 25% commission on Rental Fees (unless otherwise specified).
7.3 Lenders receive payouts net of commission and fees.
7.4 RET reserves the right to charge the stored payment method for unpaid rental fees, late fees, damage, or theft.
8. Disputes
8.1 Users should attempt to resolve disputes directly.
8.2 RET may assist as a neutral facilitator but is not obligated to resolve disputes.
8.3 RET’s determinations are final for platform-related matters.
